Anna Prodromou holds a degree in French Language & Literature and an MSc in Communication & Journalism. She has been a local journalist/news producer for ZDF German Television over the past seven years and has worked as a project manager on a number of NGO projects, one of which received a special award. She is passionate about communication in all its manifestations and has a deep-seated interest in social justice issues and raising awareness around equal gender participation in the public sphere.

Anna is the founder of the Women in Conflict Zones Initiative, WICZ that focuses directly on the issues of women’s civic participation and contribution. She was also a co-founder of Faros Association, a non-profit organization formed to offer support to AIDS and H.I.V. positive persons and their families; she is currently an Executive Committee member of Join2Media, a platform aiming to develop active citizenship and ownership by creating awareness towards a better and fairer community. Her volunteer work involves Faros Association (CY), UCYVoice (CY) and Person to Person, P2P (USA).

She was recently featured as an Expert in the She Experts initiative of the Mediterranean Institute of Gender Studies (MIGS), a platform specifically developed to be the leading resource of expert women in Cyprus. Anna is the winner of the 12th Cyprus (National) Business Woman of the Year Award 2018, Corporate Category.
